How to use these figures when reviewing an offer.

Start with the legal minimum or sectoral agreement that covers your job, then check the working hours attached to the offer. An annual salary that looks competitive on paper can work out below a sectoral hourly minimum once unpaid overtime or a 45-hour week is included.

All figures in this tool are gross pay before income tax (PAYE), Universal Social Charge (USC) and PRSI. Because take-home pay depends on your personal tax credits, marital status and rate bands, check your net deductions with Revenue's official tax guidance.
